Weave's post

Dear Reader - Blogger, Poster, Casual Passer-by, whoever you are - Good day to you.

Tom asks for Guests on his blog - well here I am. I can't think why because it is hard enough to think of something to put on my own post day after day. But I do know the feeling of sitting, fingers poised over the keyboard and not being able to think of a darn thing to say. A bit like being at a party of 'posh' people you hardly know, without a drink in your hand when suddenly there is a pregnant pause and everyone in your 'group' looks in your direction.

What you must not do (although I suspect Tom would take great pleasure in doing it) is say something stupid or something you will instantly regret but that will go down in the history of that group as the thing you are remembered for. So here I am folks, not saying anything I will regret - just saying - why not join us. It is such fun - we are all good mates together (OK we have the odd 'fall out' but we get over it), we are unlikely ever to meet 'in the flesh' - in fact the 'real' us may be totally different from how we portray ourselves on Blogland - but does it matter.

I could be a thirty year-old blonde with good legs, a twenty two inch waist and fantastic in bed (I wish) instead of an eighty-eight year-old great gran who can only walk with the help of an aid on wheels. But who cares (or knows which I am for that matter). So think about it (joining us I mean, not questioning my persona) - and have a good day.

  1. I think I am with the rest of you in as much that I don't take great pleasure in saying something stupid that I will instantly regret Weave!

  2. Good day to you too Weave - I think that is a really lovely post - none of us know exactly who we might be blogging with (unless we have actually met them), and it is very easy in the heat of the moment to say something that you might regret.
You sound amazing for an 88 year old great gran - how many people of your generation can send an email let alone write a blog - well done.

  3. Oh, how I wish that I had something to contribute that would be an interesting read. It’s difficult to come up with something if you lead a quiet little life. Even my diary entries here at home often just say: “ Well, it’s Monday. Again.”

  4. Sending thank you from across the Pond at the base of a mini-mountain. Thank you for your charming and sometimes educational blogs on a daily basis. You also give me (at 81) more courage and enthusiasm for dealing with these elder years. Soooo, if at times you're at a loss for words (and that surely is a rarity), bet we all understand. Will be here tomorrow again and know you'll have percolated something good again. Take care. Stay chipper. Hugs

  5. All things considered from what I have just read on your own blog I am surprised that you were able to produce this post at all Weave. It is almost miraculous. Nice to read it though and take care xxx

  10. An excellent post Pat, you always have plenty to say and sensible to. An original idea of Tom's to make us write on other blogs, a bit like a teacher setting a topic to discuss.

  11. Well done Weave …. You are a braver woman than me ! I live a fairly boring day to day life ( especially in the last couple of years ) and don’t think that anyone would want to ‘ listen ‘ to my outpourings ! Lovely to read your post , you blonde bombshell you !!! XXXX
