As fast as the summer is going by, it'll be here soon enough. I'm enjoying summer birdsong, only in the morning and evening. It is too hot to go out during the day. Did you plant your night stocks this year?
There is something wrong with my night scented stocks. They sprouted, and now 80% percent are withering. 2 years in a row...
The winter was very good to nature and the flowers and the blossom and the insects grow well this Spring.
Yes, it seems that way.
I love a blackbird singing; it always cheers me.Greetings Maria x
To me it is melancholy. I remember going out into the snow as a child and listening to a blackbird as the sun went down.
Another lovely photograph .... but I don’t want to think about Winter just yet ! XXXX
I think of the Rupert Bear one when the scientist reverses the seasons with a huge thing on the top of castle which looked like a laser gun.
A lovely image
I took it because I had to design a 'Winter' motif for a Four Seasons carved panel set.
Checking in after a hiatus, I am glad I landed on this post - so quiet and calm. A respite from all the chatter.
I prefer my Blackbirds Singing in the Dead of Night...and as John says, it's a lovely image. Surreal even. Whatever that means.
Do you carve in wood Tom?LX
