Calling all canibals


My temporary workshop is a large converted steel shipping container which is lined with more steel. It has no windows. It is situated to take the full sunshine from morning until sundown. Yesterday it was 30 degrees Celsius (86 F).

I had to regularly leave it and go outside to cool down. It was cooler out than in. It was like trying to work in a slow-cook oven. It is set to stay this temperature for the rest of the week.

I should be done to a turn by Friday.

    If not for the precarious pay grade of working artists, I'd recommend a strike. As an alternative, I'll close my eyes and visualize the trolls who trashed the woodland shop stepping off the curb and being hit by a bus.

    Seems to me you will be done to a turn by then. Thunder downpours are forecast for the weekend. I dare you to strip off and run outside if one hits your neck of the woods. I am sure you will feel like doing it - well take the bull by the horns and do it. (a selfie would then be a treat)!

    Thank you for including the temperature in Fahrenheit, it saved me having to Google it. I'm not sure why Americans aren't taught the metric system like the rest of the civilized world!

    Working in a steel shipping container in the summer sounds like pure hell. I do hope you're being very well paid in return.

    Just looking at the container makes me sweat. The walls must be hot at the touch too! But the sky is beautiful. I wish you to finish this work long before the summer is over.

      That isn't my container, Maria, but mine is similar. I want to finish in around two weeks, by which time it will be cool again I bet.
