New year, old Volvo

The latest Volvo. This is one of the seller's photos, so it looks better than it does in reality. All I want now is to get the rest of this NYE and Christmas stuff over and done with so I can get rid of the courtesy car, start driving this to work and see if I can dispel the nagging feeling I paid too much for it out of sheer desperation.

You never know, I could meet a Romanian courier in a hurry down a country lane again and get my money back.

  2. I think we all think that when we buy a car, that we paid too much. And we probably did.

    1. It is amazing what you get for under £1000 though. All that technology which moves. Heated seats and all.

  4. That looks very good. It's the same model and colour as the one owned by someone who lives in a caravan in a barn, just down the road. He also has a big Alsatian.

    1. I quite like the caravan and barn bits, but not the dog. My car has a tow-hitch, so I could do it.

  5. Please tell why you are concerned you paid too much.As Mr. Grimm or Mr. Grimm said, "The mill can never grind with the water that is past." Drive away to a happy new year. And prosperous, too.

    1. I am going to have to think about this. Happy New Year Joanne, despite the grim comment.

  6. I had a Volvo once, and then I remembered that it was a Saab. Nevertheless, last month I got an invitation to test drive the new Volvos and I got a $75 gift card for my troubles. The Volvos were gorgeous but I haven't bought one yet, and with the $75 I bought a heating pad for my outdoor feral cat who sleeps under my front porch. So the cat starts off the New Year with a much improved quality of life, as do us all because we've put a horrible 2017 behind us.

Happy New Year to you Mr. Stephenson, and your spiffy new ride.

    1. That car came with two heating pads as standard, but I am not planning on installing a/an (optional) cat. HNY.
