My haircut is worse than yours!

I have this image of most of people behind the scenes at the Whitehouse, staring and listening in disbelief at Trump's latest unscheduled outburst to the press or on Twitter.

Even his closest, hand-picked allies must be somewhat tired of having to try and defuse his public rants or clear up after the fall-out from them. The latest potential fall-out could actually involve radio activity.

Yesterday, someone came on to explain that Trump was only telling North Korea that he intends to meet them with fire, fury and - frankly - power, the likes of which this world has never seen before, by saying that this was the only language that North Korea understands.

Presidential protocol would normally mean that you do not make threats like this unless you are prepared to carry them out, having exhausted all avenues of diplomacy and after a direct hit on mainland USA has been made. Let's hope that this will turn out to be yet another example of how unfit he is to be President of the USA.

True, Kim Jong Un has been very 'threatful' (even my American spell-checker knows there is no such word) and there are 28,000 US troops just the other side of the North/South Korean border right now, but apparently this happens every August. I think that Trump has become so very angry and personally affronted by the fat boy with the other bad haircut that he has forgotten all about China.

I am reminded of the final scene in 'Doctor Strangelove', where the Texan airman bull-rides the atomic bomb as it drops from the plane...

  1. I am sorry, but I have installed a word-verification for comments here now. I am a bit tired of marking every Far-Eastern pornography and bitcoin gambling joint by hand every day, that I have been forced to do it.

It doesn't take too much effort, and if it doesn't work I will disable it.

  2. I suggest we put them in the ring. Trump v The Fat boy. 'Fear in Korea'. Let them fight it out.

  5. It's amazing to see his supporters twist themselves into pretzels trying to justify his words. It is getting scary now.

  6. I didn't think you could say normal. Tom is normal??? Nope. One of my all time favorite movies. Slim Pickins was the cowboy.

  7. I just have a sick and awful feeling that Guam is a goner, no matter who is riding the bomb.

    1. It would be a 'not in my backyard' thing. I never heard of Guam until yesterday.

  10. Just the titles of books I own (nothing to do with the content):
"Light in August" and "August Is A Wicked Month." Shudder.

  11. He was even plagiarising from Truman in that speech. The difference is Truman had already nuked Japan, but did have a teensy-weensy bit more of an excuse. The man is a dangerous arse.

    1. Sorry. I will try and give you your own verification questions in the future to make sure you are not a sex-robot. Sometimes it is difficult to tell where the real you leaves off and the dogs take over.

  14. I saw a clip of him saying the fire and fury bit. It had no gravitas or statesmanship, just the manner of a playground bully who can unfortunately cause ww3 in one tantrum.

  15. I'm texting the verification.

  16. This is not going to be war. This is recognition of North Korea for its own people of power it can say it has. A nuclear missile that can reach the US. N Koreans will love and hug each other. They will come together and nothing more will happen until friendly talks begin in the future. Tit for tat. Unless Japan were to spoil it all of course.

    1. I hope you are as right about this as you have been wrong about everything else.

    2. And you are always right I suppose. You constantly like to belittle me in every public way you can. If you're not accusing me of being drunk you do it somehow else. You don't like my views, you don't want them so you won't get them. It would seem to me that if I so much as slightly disagree with you I can expect nothing else but an insult or a wildly outrageous hurtful reply. And to this I expect another will follow. I thought through my reply to this post, it was serious and not frivolous. I expected a better reply.
