Dollie and Doris

Dollie the Collie knows that something is around...

... and Doris the Deer knows as well.  The next picture is of clear, green grass.

  1. Dollie is her real name, but I made up Doris's.

  2. A lovely moment. How amazing to see a deer at work! I always appreciate your pics of the spring workshop. (Yes?)
This morning there were two kangaroos across the road at my son's bus stop. Poor old Wolf was beside himself because he knows he's not allowed outside the gate.

    1. Yes. There is all sorts of wildlife out there, but - as yet - no kangaroos.

  3. Every time I see a deer, I stand and watch. It never becomes an everyday experience. Did Dolly chase Doris?

    1. No, Dolly is not a deer-chaser, unlike her sister.

  4. I enjoy seeing the deer because they are such shy and gentle animals.

    1. They are getting quite brave out where I am, and sometimes stand and stare at me.

  5. 'Under English law, placing (..) a sign - beware of the dog - does not relieve the owner of responsibility for any harm which may come to people attacked by the dog.'

    1. Come to think of it: are animals in English Law 'subjects'? In Germany they added §90a BGB in 1990 - animals remain 'objects', but are looked at with feeling (though no consequences)

    2. 'A cat may look at a queen', so I guess that a dog maybe a 'subject', but dogs are easier to herd than cats.
