H.I. hid them away, and when I found them a week later, they had started to panic and fulfill their life-time's ambition to turn into flowers, so I took them out to the country and shoved them in water.
This is day two, and I have stupidly erased day 6 (today) from my phone camera, so they are now a vivid violet and the hover-flies love them.
So much better than binning them in town, eh?
is that blue real?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's un-retouched colour, John, but now - a few days later - they have lost the slightly reddish tint and turned a deep blue.

ReplyDeleteAren't they wonderful flowers? I stumbled into a field of wild ones once, they were so pretty. Still picking out the thistles. I had to throw out my socks.
ReplyDeleteI've just dug up all my plants for relocation, but kept a few flars which are now hanging upside down in the studio to dry. They've already lost most of their colour. I fear they may be destined for the compost.
