I've been clearing out my workshop for the last few days - over 30 year's worth of old documents and photos, etc - and the other day I came across this picture of
Her Indoors doing a hand-stand up against the wall of the Holburne Museum, taken by me over 30 years ago.
Every year, she does a handstand, just to make sure she can still do it (remember the one I posted from Cornwall last years?), and here's an early example. Bless her!
Phwoar!
ReplyDeleteI love doing cartwheels on the beach but my poor (old) wrists cannot handle that anymore. Good on you HI. Keep it up. A good blood rush to the head is good for the mind.
She has such amazingly long legs....she looks elegant even upside down.
ReplyDeleteBless-if I tried that I`d kill myself landing on my head ! you go girl !
ReplyDeleteThis could be the start of an exceptional series of pix. HI up against the world!
ReplyDeleteWhoa. Those are some loooooong legs!
ReplyDeleteI spent half of my childhood like that, and also try every year to see if I can still do it. It's getting harder...
ReplyDeleteOh my. I am so impressed - I know I've never been able to do that at anytime in my life! Ann
ReplyDeleteTom, however did you win the affections of such a woman?
ReplyDeleteYour question implies a certain lack of respect for my own abilities as a gymnast and artist, Mise. Well, despite this, I will tell you. I kidnapped her young daughter and told he that if she ever wanted to see her alive again, then she must divorce her husband and devote her life to me. I hope that answers your question. Let that be an end to the matter.
