I have somehow lost the original format of the blog and don't know - yet - how to return to it. I wanted to show you this photo (taken in our pub) without it being cropped to the left as new blogger seems to do to mine these days.
This site maybe under reconstruction for some time to come. Bear with me...
Oh balls. I have made so much work for myself with this. If only I had not pressed that button...
ReplyDeleteI am gradually rebuilding it but I have had enough for one day.
DeleteI haven’t even tried the new blogger yet .... at least you are having a go. I hate it when it all goes pear-shaped ..... so frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI’m not getting that photograph. I can’t read the t-shirt and I am intrigued as to what the girl in the white top is looking at .... she looks rather repulsed !! .... and they look a bit Essexy not Bathy !! XXXX
I simply chose to stay with the old blogger, it was working OK and still is.
ReplyDeleteThis has nothing to do with the new blogger. I just changed the template to get a central image without cropping.
ReplyDeleteOK, my mistake. Has the guy in the photo just farted.
DeleteHe doesn't need to.
DeleteWhat is that man doing with his hands?
ReplyDeleteTrembling them.
DeleteIs this a sample of your pub regulars?
ReplyDeleteThe man in the t-shirt is a regular, the others are beloved staff, assessing the customer for suitability. Happens all the time.
DeleteI wouldn't want to mess with the girls. They look like they would be as tough a barmaids as I used to be.
Delete(I have responded to your comment on my post with me in the hat and mask)
The one on the right is what you might call fiery. She's half Argentinian.
DeleteThe bar wenches: half Jamaican and half Argentinian, the bar man: half German. It's a good combination.
DeleteI was going to say one or both looked a bit Brazilian.
DeleteI'm dreading the change ...oh lord

ReplyDeleteEveryone please listen to me one more time: This is NOT a new blogger issue. I changed the template to try to stop images being cropped on the right by hidden gadgets on the old format. Stop panicking about nothing.
ReplyDeleteThis is your local in Bath? It's changed since Jane Austen's day.
ReplyDeleteIn essence it hasn't changed much for 300 years.
DeleteI was going to tell you the issue is over in format, and I've never seen this format, though I do know of one elusive English blogger who uses it. Not you. The Domesticated Bohemian is the blog name, and he hasn't posted in two years.
ReplyDeleteI've just switched the format back to Simply Simple, which isn't as simple as it sounds.
DeleteIt looks quite good, but is a bit slow to load the pages. I like your by-line. Unlike your bar wenches with your pub mate.
ReplyDeleteThose wenches are the best.
DeleteI am assuming that the central background figure is you - surrounded by beautiful young things it is almost bound to be.
ReplyDeleteNo, not me Weave.
