Somebody reminded me of this. Memories of motoring down to Cornwall to stay in a wooden shack with friends for a few days and nights. Drugs in the glove compartment, food and wine in the boot of course.
I suppose generation after generation has considered their youth the days of innocence and freedom. But a lot of folks are dying, simply because their leaders would not lead. Thanks for the memories; I had that summer once, except it was Lake Erie.
Hmm, twenty years ago or so; freedom from gaslighting at last, moving 200 miles, being appreciated at work, more travelling at last, hard work bringing up four children...amaking my own work properly. Listening to music.
some songs will always be "summer songs". Full of memories.
ReplyDeleteI think there is about one every 20 years or so.

Lakes feature a lot. I am thinking of Swallows and Amazons for England.
DeleteNo money, no phones, no worries.
ReplyDeleteNot really. This tune only relates to about 20 years ago.
DeleteThe tune yes, I had never even heard it before. The memories of the 1970s, no money, no phones, no worries.
