How to hypnotise a cockerel

A bored person with too much time on their hands sent me this yesterday. It's amazing what you can learn from You Tube, but what I wonder is how on earth they discovered the technique.

  1. I've done something similar by holding the cockerel firmly in both hands and moving it in a slow circle seveao times before putting it on the floor

  2. There are some people who I would rather like to try this on (no names no packdrill)

  3. I have no more chickens to try this on, wonder if it works on grandkids?

    1. I've never thought of hypnotising my grandchildren. I think social services might get involved.

  5. Can you then get it to do things it wouldn't normally do, like pretending to be a human?

  6. I've seen this, but couldn't remember how the ending happened. That's old age for ya.

    1. You might have had a vague memory of it ending badly.

    2. Actually, Tom, I only remembered it was unexpected, but I could not recall what it was. It made no difference, as I was about to watch it again and see. That's interesting TBI for ya.

  7. When I was a boy we had chickens and I remember that you could put a hen into a sort of coma by stroking down its head, neck and back. Your post has brought this to mind for the first time since then, some 70 years ago!

    1. There is an animal (I forget the species) which faints when you stroke it. I've seen the video of that too.
