Nobody voted for either of them

I don't trust people like Alistair Campbell and Dominic Cummings (above). They get drunk with power when they find themselves in the position of making plans, policies and decisions for other people who - although they craved power over and above everything else in their lives - find themselves unqualified to handle it when they finally get to wield it.

The Boris Johnson that everyone seemed to reluctantly like was the one who had a scruffy haircut, the one whose shirt-tail hung out of his trousers, the one who made bad and inappropriate jokes. His life is now totally controlled by private advisors with their own agendas.

  1. Dominic Cummings in the one in charge. Same as Campbell, arrogance and contempt for Parliament and zilch integrity. Neither of them even know the meaning of the word.

    1. I find it truly depressing that important aspects of my personal life are now under the control of this man and people like him. British politics is fucked.

  2. I heard Cummings speak yesterday, as if he was the PM. I suggest he keeps very much in the background.

    1. I would rather he kept in the foreground. That way everyone knows who is pulling the strings when Johnson tries to do away with a democratic parliament.

    2. Boris is very bright, and I believe that Cummings is even brighter. That spells danger!

    3. It doesn't take much to be 'even brighter' than Boris. Academic achievement is not everything.

  3. I have read that he is Boris's Rasputin.

  4. He also took quite a lot of money from the EU subsidies for his farm! Hypocrites all.

    1. To be fair to farmers, they are only taking out what has been put in.

  5. Amazing how that works, isn't it.

  6. Sadly Tom, what you say is all too true.

  7. I have been exchanging emails with my (pro Brexit) Tory MP. His replies are full of platitudes and nothing much else.
Our lives are run by childish toffs playing games with our future and with the one aim of furthering their own careers and fortunes.

    1. I agree entirely. The terrible thing is that the only alternative to childish British toffs playing with our future with the one aim of furthering their own careers is childish British left wing extremists playing with our futures with the one aim of furthering their own careers.
