More England

And more Rollright Stones. Thank you to whoever took the photo.

H.I. said I was probably not going to like the suggestion of what we could do whilst in Oxfordshire, but asked if we could, possibly... perhaps... visit Bicester Village to do a bit of retail therapy.

The last time I drove her there I didn't even bother to get out of the car, preferring to have naps between reading a book whilst I waited the several hours it took for her to become exhausted with fighting her way through the thousands of Chinese and Saudis on the hunt for cut-price designer clothing. They are now talking about laying on special trains to take them from the airport to Bicester and back.

I said sorry, but no. She can always go with her daughter some other time. She has the same condition.

  1. I had no idea Bicester was a mecca of the retail world for the Chinese, or the Saudis.

  2. Somehow Tom I don't think you will have earned many Brownie points there today.

    1. Do you think I would publicise that precise information? All I will say is that our 14 stone rottweiler will not be fed 12 hours before our departure.

  4. Rottweilers scare the bejammers out of me. I won't be calling, on the chance you're home.
