'king Cnut

That's it. Just 'king Cnut. I like this title. One day I will find a use for it.

  2. His story of the waves was used by the nuns at my school to illustrate humility to us.

    1. That story is always misinterpreted by people like nuns. In fact he was just illustrating the point that even a king could not hold back the sea. He was being asked to do something impossible by someone but I don't know who or what.

    2. I understood that at the time. He was saying to his admirers that he wasn't God and only God could do that and of course the nuns liked that part of it.

  4. I was told that the spelling of his name were changed from the original by the Victorians . I would like it to be true but then that's another insult gone as I gather he was a good king as kings go .
