It's a good day for a picnic, but I'm working today. There was a fire in the Hundred Acre Wood last week. I hope it didn't do as much damage as the Disney Corporation.
“ How do you spell love ? “ asked Piglet. “ You don’t spell it, you feel it “ replied Pooh
“ It’s so much more friendly with two “. It’s going to be even nicer tomorrow. Sorry I’ve not been around for a while ...... been a bit busy. I think you’ve had a birthday or it’s coming up ? XXXX
I am no longer a child, sad to say. Sadder would be that I am childish enough to tell. I only tell for free drinks in the pub, and that's sad enough. Fuck it. The whole thing is sad.
Oh, Happy Birthday for the other day! I hope you enjoyed a nice free beer or two. I adore the illustrations by EHS and my tatty old copy of HAPC is one of my prized possessions.

DeleteHappy Belated Birthday dear Tom. I think I knew your birthday was in May but I wasn't sure which day. I hope it was a nice one for you. ❤
DeleteThank you J.
DeleteWeren't they?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday dear old bloggy friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Weave.
DeleteI hope you didn't work too much on your birthday.
ReplyDeleteNot too much - just enough to finish a job which has been dragging on far too long.

ReplyDeleteThey seem to get better with age don't they? (unlike me...)
DeleteThere are hardly any trees on Ashdown Forest. They were all cut down to use as fuel for Iron smelting. The 100 acre wood had no trees.
ReplyDeleteWell I wonder what caught fire then. It just goes to show that you cannot trust the BBC. Fake news.
DeleteProbably Gorse and Bracken.
DeleteI have played Pooh Sticks on The Bridge, my brother who lives 'near' says that the special area is not damaged.
ReplyDeleteSo a boy and his bear still play...
DeleteBelated birthday greetings ... birthdays aren't really sad if you think that the alternative is being underground..hope you enjoyed it x
ReplyDeleteThey aren't sad for me. I worry about the other 364 ones sometimes, though.
