Good Friday in Abbey Green

Graffiti on the wall of the house to the left of the tree below:

Rich(ard) Preston (?)
Good Friday
1769 (?)

I love Abbey Green.

  1. What amazes me is that Richard had time to carve all this without being apprehended. He even gave his name as evidence. Things are different these days. The police don't understand tags.

    1. There are dozens of benches a few yards away in Abbey Square, but Georgian Bath was designed for promenading. Cafes and pubs do not want benches, they would prefer people to sit down in their establishments.
