A sorry saga

I introduced my good friend Bill to another good friend, Anna, many years ago.

Anna and Bill got married and lead what seemed to be a satisfactory life between Cambridge and Scotland.

One night, Bill let off a fart so toxic that it awoke Anna from the deepest of sleeps, and she rushed out of bed to open a window in the small room which they shared at the time.

Before Anna could reach the window and before she had properly woken, she vomited because of the awful stench of his fart.

Bill and Anna eventually split up and quite recently Bill was discovered dead in his one room flat in Devizes, from causes unknown. He had lain there for two weeks until a neighbour complained about another appalling stench. He was formally identified by one of his two sons.

Anna now lives in the Highlands of Scotland with her Plantagenet husband.

The end.

  2. How sad to die alone and nobody noticing that he was not around for all that time.

I would imagine it will be hard to rent out that flat after that.

  3. I read recently of another case where someone had been dead for several months, and not found. I suppose it's a sign of having absolutely no concerned friends. Very sad.

  6. If you drop dead in a house with people you still die alone. You don't't say 'well folks, I'm about to die, thanks and goodbye' You just drop dead. At least you get cleared up fairly quickly, I suppose that's what this is about. I expect I will be found in about 6 days.
