Every day, Trump trumps himself.
He has now pledged to withdraw all the U.S. troops which have been supporting the Kurds in fighting ISIS in Syria. The self-sacrifice of the Kurds have contributed toward world safety more than any other nation on earth when it comes to destroying ISIS.
Erdogan has vowed to bury every Kurd in their own trenches once the U.S. has gone, and Putin has congratulated Trump on his decision. Iran is greatly relieved that they can now attack the Kurds with impunity as well.
Listen U.S.A., you need to get rid of Trump for all of our sakes. ISIS now stand a good chance of regaining old territory as a caliphate, Russia will expand further West into Eastern Europe and Iran will continue with their nuclear program. That means dire trouble for all of us.
Happy Christmas.
Correct.
ReplyDeleteWe're just all screwed Or did you say that already, somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI might have mentioned it once or twice.
DeleteOur Secretary of Defense just quit. Trump is in a tailspin. I don’t think it will be long before he is gone. What then? No one could have ever predicted this. It is just chaos.
ReplyDeleteThe only trouble is that the next Secretary of Defense could be a completely unqualified madman. He would have to be to work with Trump.
DeleteAnyone who watched his campaign might have predicted this chaos. May he depart, soon, and all his evil cohorts with him. I think the next election will have huge changes. But there will be so much harm to undo. It will take very very long, if it can ever be fixed.
ReplyDeleteI think about 48% of America did predict it. Even here both in Britain and blogland, people were saying we should 'give him a chance'. To do what? Certainly not run the world safely.
DeleteSo, now it'll be a joint effort between Russia, Iran, and Turkey against the Kurds. That should even the sides a bit. What an effing mess.
ReplyDeleteBy abandoning the Kurds, Trump has committed a moral crime which will give the green light to Russia, Turkey and Iran to commit war crimes under the guise of 'fighting terrorism'.
DeleteLike Cro says, it's an effing mess. As I age I spend more time enjoying the mindless things like making cookies with the grandkids. It won't change anything but for a few moments, it makes the world less horrific.
ReplyDeleteI find escapism harder and harder to attain these days. Things cannot be ignored if they are on your doorstep, but I imagine it must be good to be able to slip in and out of the world of children. Sadly all the children I knew are now adults.
DeleteAll I can say if you start something you should be there at the end or don't get involved at all.
ReplyDeleteMerle...........
He didn't begin to help the Kurds, and vowed he would undo all Obama's works whilst in office, good or bad.
DeletePerhaps "The Donald" really is in Putin's pocket?
ReplyDeleteSomething is going on it seems - probably one of his 'deals'.
DeleteScary scary times...we have to believe in goodness and commonsense prevailing somewhere from someone...
ReplyDeleteWhat makes it all so much worse is the way politics swings from one side to the other without settling somewhere in the middle. Trump and Brexit are a direct result of economic crisis, as was Hitler.
DeleteResult of economic crisis? I don't understand. Was thete an economic crisis in June 2016? I thought Cameron was repaying his Euroskeptic friends and the US it was election time and they didnt want Hillary Clinton.
DeleteHow long do you think the period of austerity has been going on for? Have you been asleep all that time?
DeleteI'm proud to be an American, but so embarrassed by the president. I keep thinking of the old saying "give him enough rope and he'll hang himself." It should have happened long ago. God help us!
ReplyDeleteIn his case, that would not happen.
DeleteI cannot ignore it and don't want to. I don't understand people who claim to have stopped reading the news. I live in constant fear that Tr. will do something awful while I'm in the shower. But Merry Christmas anyway.
ReplyDeleteYou too Shawn.
