I am getting desperate for this protracted Christmas to be over now, but am still sorting out this car business which has been going on since well before. Believe me when I say I am becoming as bored with it as you must be. I am currently waiting for them to collect the hire car, and they are coming from Essex today - I hope.
While I wait I amuse myself by listening to Trump's latest Tweets. There is no escaping them, because all media pass them on to the rest of the world who do not follow him, even though half the world seem to enjoy using their valuable time by having his rants sent directly to their phones. I get extremely irritated when I receive unsolicited emails from Gumtree, so imagine how I would feel if I got five a day from Trump!
I suppose that the media have a duty to relay all this stuff from him to the rest of us, as almost all of it will affect us in one way or another, not least by the outbreak of nuclear war as threatened by him using his button which is larger than N. Korea's. 'Mine's bigger than yours, AND it works'. Schoolboy sexual bragging.
Before the election, Trump was a nasty, sexually-obsessed psychopath with money but no real power, now he is the most powerful man in the world. How the hell did that happen? He is shortly going to turn his back on his 'biggest deal ever' and foment more trouble in the Middle East by depriving the Palestinians of even more food and medicine than they already lack.
My prayer for 2018 involves impeachment.
I was going to post using a photo of a peacock I took strutting through Corsham yesterday, but my crippled iMac won't let me. Next time, maybe.
ReplyDeleteWe should all just ignore Trumps tweets. Fake news should not even be ridiculed it should be not given web time
ReplyDeleteHow can you ignore the President of the United States of America when he says he will nuke North Korea?!
DeleteI'd rather bury my head and think of shallow and silly things .... I'm much happier for it !! ... although, one can't always avoid it. I did read that he has a bigger one than Kim Jong-un !
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Tom ..... I don't think I've wished you it yet ... wishing you and yours a wonderful 2018. XXXX
And to you, Jack@.
Delete"Mine's bigger than yours"....FFS. We have a president with the mentality of a schoolboy....actually, no, that's an insult to adolescent boys. I just hope we can make it through the next year without Trump starting a war with NK. I have a feeling that the midterm elections this year will be a major smack down of the GOP and hopefully then we can start to do whatever is necessary to remove this idiot...or at least strictly curtail the damage he can do.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you can undo some of the damage too.
DeleteI surely hope so, Tom.
DeleteTom, we're working on it.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad.
DeleteMost 'powerful' man in the world? Didn't you mean most 'dangerous' man in the world?
ReplyDeleteMaybe.
DeleteI just despair as mayhem breaks out in yet another country.
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong with everyone?
DeleteReally, what can you say when Trump threatens nuclear war except be gone.
ReplyDeleteNot much else is safe to say.
DeleteRemember that we are living through one of the most extraordinary periods of world history. Chump, Fat Boy, Putin, Assad, Erdogan, Corbyn; what more could you ask for, for amusement.
ReplyDeleteGhengis Khan.
DeleteLet's not forget that dipstick running the show over in Chechnya! Can't be bothered to commit his name to memory, tbh.
