Goodnight

I've just woken up into the 21st century.

I don't like the clothes.

I am used to thick, coarse, wool suits and hard shoes, starched collars and underwear which is comfortable, because nobody will ever see it.

I am used to more buttons than strictly needed and hats of all kinds to suit the occasion or circumstances.

Oh well, back to sleep.

  1. Fabrics become more and more unacceptable to me. Uncomfortable, not warm. I bought a shirt on line. Described as warm, thick waffle weave. I'm a weaver; I know waffle weave. I know warm, thick cotton, too. There was not one letter of truth in the gossamer threaded, waffle weave embossed shirt I received. Even the tiny buttons on the Henley closure were less than unacceptable.

  2. A lot of trousers contain some kind of stretch-material, which I hate. It often leads to soggy looking bottoms. If things get too lose, your trousers will start sliding south and they take your underwear with them!
