Words, words, words

Top of the news from last night until heaven knows when. I know it has to be talked about, analysed, video footage must be studied, relatives must be consoled any way possible, security must be stepped-up, events must be cancelled, holidays must be terminated, whole Summers put on hold until further notice - in a situation where nothing can be done by anyone, everyone tries to do everything.

Destruction is so stupidly simple. Anyone can do it.

  4. A couple of things we can do.

We can and must express sympathy for the victims and their families.

We should be aware of the dubious role of much of the world's news media. Visiting Reporters Without Borders is a way to do this.

  5. As I said to Cro, senseless violence that acheives nothing but pain, fear and heartache. We had it with the IRA but, they weren't suicide attacks. I heard it as it happened but I can't listen to all the de briefing and analysis . XXXX

I really don't know the answer - I don't suppose there will be one in our lifetime.
