Conservative with a capital C word

Cameron's latest bright idea:

Slum clearance, but with a 21st century twist.  The trouble is that he hasn't thought out what this twist might be.

Having sold off all the council houses after the last slum clearance, will the government compensate the private owners for their loss? If they do, will it be at market prices?

Or will they compensate the housing associations which were privatised for their losses? If so, will it be at market prices?

Now you could accuse me of being a left-wing lunatic in the same way that you could accuse Cro and Rachel of being slightly right of Attila the Hun, but think about it - where is the fucking re-development and re-housing money going to come from?

Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid.

  1. Keep the buggers down, that's the way. From the cradle to the grave. Poverty let it go on under Labour.

    1. It reminds me of T Dan Smith and the slum clearance of Newcastle; whatever happens the money will always end up in the hands of those who least need it.

    2. Here in Bath in the 1960s, about 300 lovely Georgian buildings were destroyed for the sake of builder's and developer's profits. They would be worth about £400,000 each right now. Cunts.

    3. When I was there in the 70s people were still fuming about the sack of Bath.

  2. The money from the sale of council houses to tenants was suppose to be re invested in housing. hah!
Few developers want to build the type of houses that are needed anyway.

    1. No, they want to build luxury. They are committed to build a few shit-houses within the contract. Cunts.

    2. Some of the new directives will let them get away with building the few shit houses too. And as for the section 106 monies.. it's joke as they usually wriggle out of that too.

  3. It's happening over here, too. We even have Mr Trump, developer as a candidate for president. You are fortunate not to have to walk past any of his existing NYC properties. Tacky does not begin to describe them.
