Purveyor of Bollocks to the Crowned Heads of Europe

This pathetic picture is the best I could snatch off eBay. It is a double shot of a Georgian, glass candlestick dating from the first half of the 18th century. It came up on eBay a week ago and I have been watching it slip out of my grasp.
I thought, 'no point in bidding on that, it will go for between £400 and £500'. It sold for £410 last night.
Oh well. What amazes me is that it has survived, even with people putting burning candles in it - there again, maybe they didn't, which is how it survived.
Same with the drinking glasses - safe in the hands of drunkards.
