The Wedding of the Century - official video
Ok, here it is - me (Stephen) H.I. (Jackie). Green-Eyes (Kira) The Boy (Marsden), The Boy's talented and beautiful girlfriend Amanda (who also made this film), The Bride (Ursula), The Groom (Barney) - and the REST of the gang, celebrating the wedding of the century, until the next one.
I defy you to watch it without a little titsy-witsy tear of emotion coming to your eye...
Try to get it full-screen, because my stupid template cuts off the right-hand bloody side. Go straight to You Tube? - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUxs4cwdF9A

HI IS CALLED JACKIE?
ReplyDeleteSo excited!
Loved it
Especially as all the bridesmaids were carrying cauliflowers
Actually
I enjoyed it
X
Did I say I enjoyed it?
ReplyDeleteI am pleased to say that you did.
DeleteCRACKERJACK! (are you old enough to remember that?)
DeletePerfect in every way.
ReplyDeletePlease give us a little essay on the origin of the name, Herself Inside. I have googled it inside out, no luck.
www.jackieharding.com - 'Her Indoors'.
DeleteOh, and btw - the term 'Her Indoors' came from an old British comedy series in which the main man's wife never appeared, and was always referred to as that.
DeleteBeautiful. Jx
ReplyDeleteI agree, Rusty.
DeleteOh, and did I say that it was also my 62nd birthday? Somewhat overshadowed by the event...
ReplyDeleteVery classy, very fun!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how classy it was - all those paintings are real Gainsboroughs.
DeleteThe bride looked gorgeous....the photographer not so good.
ReplyDeleteI dare not say what I think about that bloody photographer, now that the vid has gone public...
Delete... other than wonder if he thought he was photographing a war-zone...
DeleteNot sure what was more stunning, the bride or the food. Classy group of folk. Most enjoyable wedding of strangers I have ever attended!
ReplyDeleteThe serving of the food by the beautiful girls was an act of pure theatrics - they circled the table completely before standing behind the guests to place the food. That was - for me - even better than the food.
DeleteWot, no food fight?
ReplyDeleteNo.
DeleteBeautiful people, beautiful venue. Nice shoes too! (The groom's that is.)
ReplyDeleteMine were blacker - the shoes that is.
Deleteit made me want to crack onto the bridegroom.
ReplyDeleteNow you're going to have to explain what 'crack onto' means for an old Pom like me...
DeleteI LOVE a wedding .... especially a family wedding. Ursula and Barney look SO happy ..... H.I looks fantastic { love her outfit } and you scrub up pretty well too !! ..... oh, and Ursula looks beautiful. Love the choice of hydrangeas for the flowers ..... everything looked very classy and everyone looks as if they are having the most wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteFabulous venue, the food looked delicious and I LOVE Rihanna's 'Diamond's' as the last song on the video.... great choice of music all round. XXXX
I do a pretty good impersonation of Rihanna's back vocalist when I sing the chorus - give me a call one day and I'll do it for you.
DeleteI think that I look like an old, alcoholic, Frankenstein's monster, despite the Armani suit. Years of lifting weights has bent my back, and years on Onanism has bent the rest of me - still, it's not all about ME is it?
I am sick after reading all these comments as I just can't get it on my computer.....and I did want to see You in all your finery (and the rest of course.)
ReplyDeleteJust click on the RED line at the bottom of the text, Weave, and if that doesn't work, get someone to look at your computer.
DeleteBritta is having problems too, so try the step below...
DeleteIt is a beautiful wedding Tom. The food looks like art and the bride looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteThe art looks like art too, which is very reassuring for a traditionalist.
DeleteIt took some cunning stunts to make the bride look even more stunning than she normally does, but it worked.
Sorry for myself, Tom: in Germany we are not allowed to see this video because it contains something of SME that is - speaking of copyright - not bought/allowed through GEMA.
ReplyDelete(We have that on many, many youtube-songs etc by now). So: I (and the film) are in the dark.
Ah, now I understood the law-text: you must have used in this video music that belongs in terms of copyright to SME - and they didn't give the right to GEMA. I suspect it is the Rihanna song.
ReplyDeleteNo, that cannot be right - You Tube is universal, is it not? Double click on the red line below the text, and ask to open in a new window, or connect straight to the link. That must work, surely?
DeleteSomeone said, ' Perfect together' and they are. A lovely wedding - you all look good.
ReplyDeleteAh yes - someone also said 'beautiful people' - but I wouldn't go that far (in public).
DeleteTry this (pasting it in) for anyone who is having problems:

Lovely wedding. I wondered if those were real Gainsborough paintings.
ReplyDeleteThere are times i can't view things on youtube because of country's violations. Most of them are BBC things that i think show here across the Pond on BBC America.
You clean up all right, and the Armani looks good on you.
Yes, I think that's right about You Tube, but they would have to monitor it individually to pick up on any copyright violations, and I don't think they could unless the title was in the title.
DeleteThat's what I like about traditional Armani - he always makes the best out of challenging models...
Great frock, great music. It's just lovely Tom. Thanks for posting. I often think that weddings and births are humanity's nod to absolute faith in the future.
ReplyDeleteThat was all the music from the actual wedding too. That frock was 2 years in the choosing - Roland Mouret. I found a few nice, white nylon ones in charity shops, but she would not consider them.
DeleteA friend of mine's daughter was married recently, and complained about having to spend £8000 on the dress. I said it was a shame that it would only be worn about twice by her... talking about faith in the future.
I have just found out why some people cannot view it - you need to be sent a link. Ask and ye shall receive.
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to reply to the reply, but i think how YouTube works it is that it can read the destination of your internet connection (not sure if certain numbers or combos of letter and numbers are assigned to each country), so in that way, they can say it's a violation of whatever country, sorry, you can't see it.
ReplyDeleteMy guess only, could be way off-base.
Now I understand why you call it the wedding of the century - what gorgeous, happy people all around! The son of the bride (?) looks like a movie star in an 'Edward-Norton-sort-of-way'.
