The Irish are well known for their love of horses, but the Irish Police (Garda) know no bounds when it comes to the bond between horse and man.
Some say they take it a little too far, but I say there is no greater love than that between man and beast, especially when you are in a tight spot.
Do you and John pick a theme and then blog about it on the same day?
ReplyDeleteNo. we just seem to be spiritually connected - on a very basic level.
DeleteGutter level
DeleteMy mind spends a fair amount of time in the gutter since I've worked in a man's world my entire adult life. That being said, the nastiest mouths I've ever encountered where on the women that worked in a factory I worked at in the mid 80's. They could make any man blush.....sheesh.
DeleteThe horse picture is hilarious. BTW.
Now just out of curiosity - what did you type into google to find this picture?
ReplyDeleteIt was emailed to me today by a genuine Irishman - honest.
DeleteI'm surprised that nobody has, as yet, made a joke about 'mounted police'.
ReplyDeleteThey always get their man
ReplyDeleteWTF?......how on earth did they get in this "situation"
ReplyDeleteAsk the horse.
DeletePut it this way, I expect that copper will never wear the same aftershave again.
DeleteThat truncheon looks dangerous, is it an 'A1 Pink Paddy'?
ReplyDeleteThe caption used when it was sent to me was, "For Christ's sake - use the Taser!"

ReplyDeleteHmmmmm, wonder what experiences that horse had when it was younger...
ReplyDeleteDid you ride horses when you were younger, Jenny?
DeleteBoth may be emotionally scarred for life.
ReplyDeleteI once kissed a policewoman, but that's it.
DeleteI once kissed a police man
Delete' Neddy Does Dallas ' XXXX
ReplyDeleteNo, sorry ..... ' Neddy Does Dublin '
DeleteI shall never view 'Mr Ed' in the same way again.
DeleteThat looks pretty scary to me Tom - I have always been rather scared of horses. I saw a very similar one to this when I was out to lunch yesterday and i must say it looked gentle enough but those hooves!!!
ReplyDeleteI have always been nervous of horses - even when I rode them. None of them ever tried this trick on me though, thank goodness. They have very small brains, you know...
