But heigh ho - one (now two) of the best art galleries in the world was endowed by Sir Henry Tate, in the generous tradition of the UK 19th century magnates. Unlike 20th and 21st century million/billionaires who care only to avoid tax by investing their profits in self serving off-shore schemes.
