Baked beans and candle light

I used to love Halloween when I was about 10. We had a wine cellar in our house, and for a couple of years, I would invite a friend around and we would go down to it and eat baked beans on toast by candle light, whilst all the real ghosts would be upstairs, bathed in electric light and eating something a bit more nutritious.

  1. Baked beans and naked flames are against the elf-n-safety directive.

    1. I waited until I was about 21 before setting fire to my own (and other's) farts. I've never looked back.

  2. I have many happy moments of Halloween as a kid. I don't get many trick-or-treaters now, but i do enjoy seeing the little ones' costumes.

  3. I have just driven home and the whole town is chocca with trick or treaters of all ages..........and, we've had about 6 knocks at the door already and it's only 7.00 p.m. I'm not really a great lover of Halloween and trick or treating but, it seemed quite good fun on the streets this evening. 4. I've always understood beans on toast to be pretty nutritious.
