This Swedish sailing ship was built in exactly the same place as...
... my latest Volvo 850. (Goteborg).
So here's a question for you all:
Which vehicle would you rather have, sweet fellow bloggers?
(If you can't be honest, at least be practical)
if I had a choice I want a 1025 model t ford.... or one of those station wagons from mrs miniver ( the ones with wood inlay)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that Ford made cars in 1025. Mrs Miniver was a crap fillum, wasn't it? (I am not - for ONE moment) expecting you to agree with me, Jonathan.
DeletePlease re-arrange the brackets to suit.
Deletemrs miniver
Deletea real class act!
I'd love to own a 35ft sailing yacht but that ship looks decidedly like the Flying Dutchman might be on board ( OK I know it's the wrong country but you get my gist). So it's the practical Volvo for me as I actually need one of those. Sigh.
ReplyDeletePS Only 25mins from the Opening Ceremony - hope you're going to watch!
Come on - no compromise, Elehance: Either the full sized vessel, or a modest Volvo. I will accept - at a stretch - a 35 foot stretch-Volvo.
DeleteI will be watching it from behind the sofa... on iPlayer, tomorrow.
I'd like the-car-that-never-brakes-down-or-has-flat-tyres-or-needs-gas.
ReplyDeleteColour not a problem.
When I went to live in Sweden, I travelled on a small ship. My only sadness was that it had no sails.
ReplyDeleteCould the Volvo be fitted with sails, for those blustery Bath days?
ReplyDeleteI'd love the ship--does it come with crew? Himself might want to fight me for the Volvo, so i'm going with the safer choice.
