Hoax?

Hmm.  I don't think this is going to convince Cro, somehow.

In Doug and Dave's defence though, I was once on a ferry in the middle of the ocean at about 2 o'clock at night, and saw two bright little dots of light shooting madly around in the sky before rushing outwards and disappearing into space.  I first thought they were satellites on a collision course until they began dancing around each other.  Another friend of mine has seen them in the broad daylight, over Bath.  These are the most common form of UFOs seen by most people.

I remain, Sir, with an open mind.

    1. I'm still disconnected from my translator, but I get the feeling that was a negative.

  2. That looks computer generated tome. Not so sure about UFO's though.

    1. Of course it looks computer generated to you, Weave - you're looking at it on a computer!

I wonder what feeding the results to the cows does to the milk yield?

  3. Captain Ahab made excellent use of little dancing lights for his own (mad) ends ...

    2. St Elmo's Fire, you know, when he commits his crew on his mission to hunt down Moby Dick.

  4. Life is so much more exciting when you are prepared to believe in anything. I'm willing to look like an idiot if it takes my mind off things for a while, but I refuse to wear silly hats on holiday.

  5. I think Cro did it, myself!

What kind of hats do you wear on holiday?

  6. If we fed our cattle crop circles, presumably they would poo crop circles - that could indeed be the answer we have all been looking for.

  7. I think there is so much we don't know, and even faced with something that could be a hoax, many choose to believe it's a hoax because they would be too afraid to consider something unearthly.

I'm with you, Tom--i'd rather look silly because i think there might be a possibility of something really amazing. Others might see me as gullible, but i'm happy with my lot.

    1. Some people have an over-developed sense of dignity. That's never been one of my problems.

  8. those "balls of light" are, I think quite common...never seen any myself, but my sister's mother in law could tell an interesting tale of seeing three such lights near her pub on the banks of the river Dee one night....

    1. When I saw mine, I was looking up at a clear, star-filled sky, then I saw two of the stars moving strangely. Somehow, you get a real sense of how close or far away they are, even though - as mentioned in the video - they always stay the same size to your perception.

  9. I saw some crop circles once. No idea how they got there. I've got an open mind on that one too.

    1. A lot of them are found in really out of the way places. I saw some from a hot-air balloon once which could not be seen from anywhere but the sky.
