Guess what???

My grand daughter has FINALLY got around to sending me the photo she took of me looking around the Alhambra! (See my pissed-off post about FaceBook).

The reason I look so ugly is because the surroundings are so beautiful. There you are - I've finally exposed myself (and no, I am not going to send pictures of me exposing myself, even though she took plenty on that trip).

  1. Isn't a nice photo, though? She is so clever.

  2. It's a fabulous photo. Your clothing even compliments. Gosh, you've got great hair. Are you by chance a Leo?

  3. Taurus, not Leo - that's why I don't believe in all that shit, Willow. (I've just reminded myself of that awful Edwardian song - "Shit Willow, Shit Willow, Shit Willow...")

  4. Ah, what a great picture! Very nice.

I'm a Taurus as well, on the cusp of Aries.

  5. 'Wow' what, Molly? Me, or the Alhambra?

  6. It's a beautiful photograph because of the balance of you and the columns. Your granddaughter has a great eye for proportion. And not ugly Tom...you blend perfectly into the setting.

Brilliant Husband is a Taurus...I'm a Leo...lots of large animals in our house!

  7. I'm a Sweet Wrapper. In my star-sign-system there are only two; Sweet Wrapper, and the other one.

If I wore a suit to match my hair, I'd be arrested.

  8. Nice to see you Mr. T.
And seeing as we are all exposing ourselves...I'm an Aquarian!

  9. I woke up in the middle of the night, worrying that Willow might not have a clue about what I was going on about in my response to her comment. Well, if you didn't know it, there was a really weird song from the early 19th c. called "Tit Willow", about some fictitious bird sing in a tree. That's all.

Yes, Jacqueline, she has got a very good eye for composition. I spent a lot of time in the Alhambra, wondering how they had the patience to carve niches within niches, within niches, within niches... The stonework in the photo is quite simple compared to some of it.

  10. Early 20th, not 19th (Tit willow)

  11. Tit Willow...from The Mikado. There was a funny version done by the muppets, I remember watching with my girls.

  12. Don't worry about Willow. She's already done a posting about the song (and every other one containing the word 'Willow').

  13. Love the picture, the detail on the stone work looks amazing, so beautiful, and you have a very relaxed air about you.

I used to love the Muppets as a child, think Sam the Eagle featured in the Tit Willow song (as if you care)... willow, tit willow, tit willow...

    Glad you got your picture.

  15. No worries. I'm up on willowiness in all forms! Hey, don't forget, I'm huge opera fan. Even light opera. Very light.

  16. I'm playing catch up Tom, so I'm starting at this jolly sophisticated picture of you. The surroundings don't look bad either. To quote the great philosopher Forsythe, Nice to see you, to see you nice!
