(MISSING PHOTO)
On Christmas night someone opened the fancy dress box and kitted-out H.I. as an elf and me as Santa. She sat on my knee and someone else took a photo. I asked them to forward it to me, which they did. I just tried to post it up here so you could have a laugh at our expense, but this computer is so old that it will not take the modern format, nor will it take the app which converts that format into jpeg. Oh well, maybe next year.
My ambition to saturate the living room with the aroma of yesterday's cigar smoke was achieved though. It lingers yet.
You can buy cigar candles and peat candles to smell the aromas with out the real things.
ReplyDeleteThose candles cost about the same as cigars.
DeleteIt sounds like a good time was had by all. The knitted jumpers must have brought smiles to all. Cigar smoke? I'd be opening all the windows to let in some air.
ReplyDeleteThere were no knitted jumpers.
DeleteSorry we can't see the photo - I have always wondered what Santa looked like. As for elves - not sure I| believe in them so an authentic photo would help.
ReplyDeleteI am told I was a good likeness.
DeletePhew.
ReplyDeleteFor both our sakes.
DeleteWell imagination will help Santa Claus and your little helper Elf, did you distribute presents though?
ReplyDeleteNo, it was a sham from beginning to end.
DeleteSorry you could not get that photo up. It would have brightened what I always experience as a vapid week after Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYes, sorry.
DeleteOh no ..... I would have loved to have seen that photograph ! I think your Christmasses sound really good fun. Cigar smoke just says ' Christmas ' doesn't it ? XXXX
ReplyDeleteDid you see the Instagram speech?
DeleteI did ...... thats why I said how fun your Christmas is ! and, I was reminded of the gold balloons that were rudely placed one year 🤣 XXXX
