I hope this link will work for anyone outside the UK. In these dark times, it will heal the soul. I have absolutely nothing but respect for genuinely spiritual people, and genuinely religious ones too.
Thank you, Tom - I went to Youtube and got at least a few snippets - they made my day! I agree with the Dalai Lama on the (saddening) effect of newspapers (choose them well) - and was so surprised how much the Dalai Lama touched Tutu - the Dalai Lama is so vivid, so marvellous!
Well I couldn't see it either, Tom, as the BBC wanted me to sign in with a password and I never get into those involvements. But I can imagine how Tutu and the Dalai Lhama got on and I agree that they are/were two of the most beautiful people
Well I saw it. They are indeed beautiful and wise, notice how the Dalai Llama kept touching Tutu's hand. It was also a fascinating insight to a history gone now, but one was about the ruthless suppression of Tibet by China in gaining territory, so current now, and the suppression of black people, slowly being addressed today.
Didn´t work for me, sadly.
ReplyDeleteSorry - the BBC has limited access outside the UK.
DeleteDidnt work for me in TX. Disappointed. Thanks for the effort.

DeleteI have seen this before. It is so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHeartlifting.

ReplyDeleteThey actually hold hands a lot of the time.

ReplyDeleteYou only have to sign in once, then you can use iPlayer.
DeleteWhy on earth would I want to use iPlayer? There is little I watch on the BBC channels anyway.

ReplyDeleteYes, the touching was touching. Very relevant to today.
DeleteJoy..
ReplyDeleteGood to see them.
Uplifting.
Thankyou.
We need more leaders like them. I see that a British government minister suggested letting in Ukrainians on fruit pickers visas.
DeleteThe physicality says a great deal and is a great role model for men in general
ReplyDeleteI loved this
Imagine having the Dalai Lama chuckling you under the chin like a cat!
