I twisted a bit of tissue paper to clean the end of a small tube the other night, and in one second I had created a weathered saint of the sort you see on the walls of medieval churches, complete with halo. Either I am a brilliant sculptor or someone is looking down on me after all. All I have to do now is work out which one to pray to. That may take some time.
Darling Tom,
ReplyDeleteSaint Stephen!
The saint of horses, headaches and stonemasons. Perhaps the grisly death he suffered of stoning is a reminder that the tools of the trade of stonemasons can be as deadly as they are beautiful.:):)
I almost got stoned to death in the 1970s.
DeletePerhaps that was a different kind of headache....nevertheless, Saint Stephen covers it all!!:):)
DeleteAnother hidden talent discovered! How about a logo: Religious artifacts, on demand. Praying? A silent prayer works for me.
ReplyDeletePurveyor of genuine relics,,,
DeleteTom, do you think this was a "sign?" Quite the accidental work of art. From across the pond.
ReplyDeleteI am not qualified to judge.
DeleteTom - did you tittivate it a bit or was this first twist.
ReplyDeleteFirst twist. I was about to bin it.
DeleteCan you do it again? Or was it a one-time "miracle"!?!
ReplyDelete(Don't use all of the TP trying!)
I'm sure it happens every day but usually goes unnoticed.
DeleteWould you like somebody to be looking down on you?
ReplyDeleteNot any somebody. Only a Saint. Very few people look up to me in this world.
DeleteMulti faceted, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteMe or him?
DeleteNow you just have to translate it into stone.
ReplyDeleteI would if I thought it would do any good. No faith, that's my trouble.
DeleteYou don't have to have suffered from appendicitis to remove one as a surgeon...
DeleteSounds like wise words.
DeleteI would choose the possibility that it's an angel guarding you.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice idea. I should never have thrown it away.
DeleteIt has the look of Jennifer jones
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look up Jennifer Jones.
Deleteshould we call you Bernadette now?
ReplyDeleteNot even Bernard.
