This changed my attitude toward true alpha males as well as true alpha females. The very term 'alpha' anyone/anything has been twisted out of recognition by the usual media interests. A true alpha male is not a bully. Far from it. I will never kiss a baby in the same way again.
I wish deWaal would not have scratched so much during his excellent presentation.
ReplyDeleteI was distracted by his waist-line. Why is it that men of a certain age feel they have to tuck their shirts in without a jacket? An extreme example I know, but I am with Demis Roussos on this one.

De Waal's presentation was excellent, giving so much information in a relatively short time and so clearly explained. We watched the entire video and have to say that it did indeed dispel many myths we had about the term 'alpha' whether applied to males or females.
His oblique and more pointed references to humans were so illuminating. And, at last, we have a true answer to why politicians kiss babies, something that we had wondered about....
Yes, watching this answered a lot of questions which I didn't think I needed to ask too.
