Marry me, and you shall not want for bog roll

To think how naive we were by rushing out and buying up all the paracetamol and toilet rolls we could carry out in one go, as if that would solve a problem.

I heard of a man who tried to return the 4000 toilet rolls he had bought at the beginning of the shortage. I am delighted to say that the store refused to take them back. I would like to think he donated them to a charity, but people like that tend not to behave in an overly generous fashion.

    1. All they could say was wash your hands and take paracetamol if you think you are going to die for the first couple of weeks.

  5. Interesting ... that story got out here too except it was an Australian culprit. I'm wondering if it's a media thing?

    1. Oh, I see. It must be apocryphal then, like the family dog/Nutella/girl story.

    2. Looking at the space my 18 toilet rolls take up in the wardrobe, probably half a shed.

    1. I don't understand it either. Even now you see people walking down the street with huge bundles.

  8. I just don't understand the panic buying of toilet paper. The shelves here are still empty. Our eldest son gets free toilet paper along with a few other items weekly from his work. He is classified as essential so is forced to go to work. He is giving us toilet paper whenever we get low.

    1. My father taught me never to speculate on toilet rolls, and you know what? I never have. I didn't get where I am today by speculating on toilet paper.
