Drunk with power

Boris is fast running out of any advisors who actually know how to run a government, let alone a country. The Civil Service will become another set of poodles for Dominic Cummings to bully at will. He must be so drunk with power by now and it's only just begun.

How many children does Boris have..???
No one seems to know 6~7..Not even him...
Saw an item on BBC News Channel..Waste of
time and money that program is..!!! :(.
They were trying to match up his relationships
with previous partners..Even the BBC, who have
the lowest IQ for any News Channel..did'nt
    have the answer..! :(.

We've only just begun to live
    White lace and promises
A kiss for luck and we're on our way

    1. Yes, the annunciation was carefully timed, don't you think? Another mouth to feed is the least of his problems. The BBC had to get the woman who runs news and current affairs on Channel 4 to (obliquely) slag off Boris on Desert Island Discs this morning. They daren't do it themselves for fear that Dominic Cummings will hasten their destruction. This is probably why their news channels compare unfavourably with other impartial outlets - if there are any other impartial outlets.

    2. I cannot see how there are any other impartial outlets. If you have to pussyfoot around with the news to avoid upsetting your advertisers, how can there be?

  2. I found myself listening to Any Questions and Any Answers yesterday, much to my amazement as I normally can't stand either programme.
I had seen the Daily Express headline "1 in 10 will be in hospital" - because of the dreaded coronavirus - and my ears pricked up. One of the phone in commenters mentioned the outrageous panic (and racist attacks on Chinese looking people) being drummed up by the press, another (an intensive care doctor) the poor ability of the NHS to cope, another the unrealistic forecasting of the disease. All sounded for once like sensible people who knew what they were talking about and ALL of them took the opportunity to slag off Boris Johnson at the end of their comment.
I had to wonder if they had been either chosen for that or briefed by the presenter that it would be ok to do it.

    1. I don't think that the BBC would actually go as far as using selected phone-ins to get at Boris Johnson in as blatant a way. If they were foolish enough to try that, it would backfire very badly on them and give Cummings just the sort of ammunition he wants to finish the job. Even if you do think that the BBC is prejudiced toward the left, they are not as stupidly suicidal as the real Left. It reminds me of an event of about three years ago when the BBC hosted a public debate on Brexit (someone had to) and a pro Brexiteer in the audience stood up and accused the BBC of only selecting stupid people to talk on air in support of leaving the E.U. Everyone laughed.

  3. I don't know how the BBC can justify the
    BBC News Channel..4,000 employees around
the world, news headlines every 30mins,
weather..four forecasts in an hour, foreign
presenters, who can barely pronounce their
own names, let alone any one else's..and
    so on..and so on..it's a joke..! :(.
If l watch any news it's CH4..though not
with Katy Newman..God! What a 'meadow lady'
she is..But. Snow and Fry are o.k.

And..l always think these presenters etc..
Must have lovely roses..what with all the
bull**** they come out with..being use for
    manure..! :(.

Oh! And this has been written about the BBC..
"In its international and domestic news reporting, the corporation has consistently come across as naive and partial, rather than sensitive and unbiased".

Well must get back to the footy...
And l must check..see if Trump is
    still alive..! Ciao..Arrivederci..

    1. Who wrote that about the BBC being naive and impartial? Does the corporation really employ 4000 people world wide? Are not some of them freelance locals? Do you think we should scrap the World Service as well as the rolling news channel? Personally I would not miss the rolling news. Things come too quickly as it is.

    2. Naive and Impartial..It was a paragraph
in the Guardian newspaper last year!
Just a general opinion about the BBC..!

The 4,000 employed by the BBC is a
world wide figure..part timers..freelance locals as you say.. included, I've just looked on line up until 2019..22,401 are fully employed..!
With total assets of..£1.172 billion (2019)..!

But then..at the end of the day..We have
a choice on what to watch..we have remote controls..so why whinge..???
Why? Why? Why? Cos it's great fun too..
      That's why..! :O). HeHe! Bless!

    3. Well, to put it into perspective, 22,000 people in Britain alone work full-time for Greggs the bakers, making and selling savoury snacks, so I don't feel quite so bad about the BBC as a news agency now, even though they may not be so useful as a pasty supplier.

    4. Greggs~~Yuk! :(.

I noticed you mentioned the 'meadow lady'
Priti Patel..HaHa! I fancy her like mad!
      No silly comments please..! :).
Have you noticed she has lovely/big/wide
      bum/bottom/rear..And have you noticed
when she enters No10 the doorman has to open the door..'extra wide'..
Sorry! But l just had to express my feelings for her on line..Silly Cow..! :).

  5. There will be lots of previously anti-immigrant right-wingers playing the race card in support of Priti Patel in the coming days, but take no notice. They are only liberal when it suits them.

  8. Hi Tom - I have good eyes, no glasses - but sometimes when I am in a hurry and glimpse at a photo in a newspaper, it happens that I think: "Oh, that Trump again" - to find out: No - it is your Boris!
