Le Coq Sportif

What a day for T.V. - You've got The Men's Final at Wimbledon, Formula One, Netball, World Cup Cricket, the start of the Tour de France... er... Antiques Roadshow and a new series of Poldark.

I'm only interested in the last two.

  1. I am interested in Wimbledon, Formula One, Antiques Roadshow and Poldark. I’ve ironed, changed the beds, polished my finger plates and deadheaded the roses. I can now sit down and watch some of it. XXXX

  2. Lady M wanted to watch bloody Wimbledon, so I'm deprived of The Tour, the Cricket, and Silverstone. We need a second TV.

  3. What happened to Rachel's blog? Can't get it today here in Georgia (US). Do you know?

    1. Oh well, at least the antiques will be one week older.

  6. Antiques Roadshow seems to have gone AWOL - let's hope Poldark shows up. Even Escape to the Chateau is nowhere to be seen due to the cricket. Sports fans seem to have it all their way.

    1. I don't begrudge the sporties. Best not to let Sky have all the action.

  7. No Antiques - just Countryfile. Was not around for the cricket or the tennis so must wait for the ten o'clock News to catch up.

  8. I love Poldark. Mainly because I think Aidan Turner is really, really hot. Hopefully some of the buxom lady characters appeal to you...? I've never paid much attention to the actual storyline.

    2. You are not alone in experiencing hot flushes whilst watching Aidan Turner trying to act.

  9. Sounds like the olden days of three channel TV. NBC, CBS and ABC. I even remember the logos.

    1. I remember the olden days of one channel with no adverts. I still watch it, mainly because there are no adverts. It is the only media space which does not sell advertising space as far as I know, and for that alone I love it.
