No Muslims allowed at my banquet - that's an order

I sometimes think that all this is a nightmare from which I will shortly awake.

Boris Johnson is about to become Prime Minister, as endorsed by Donald Trump.

Trump wants to go to war with Iran. He thinks he can control the flow of oil from the Middle East by setting fire to the entire region. He hates Muslims in any case. We will go to war with him. Of that there is no doubt whatsoever.

Have we all forgotten Tony Blair,  the Iraq war and the lies about Weapons of Mass Destruction?

How many more hundreds of thousands of innocent people are going to die because of the ruthless ambition of a couple of narcissistic politicians?

  1. Trump's predecessors did have and start wars and the US Navy is patrolling and will defend itself in the Straits of Hormuz at the moment from Iranian and Yemeni rebels firing on oil tankers leaving Saudi Arabia. The missile that hit the oil tankers yesterday hit a Japanese registered tanker which is odd given that the Japanese PM was in Iran at the time talking about peace in the Middle East. Maybe not so odd. Just a reminder from the rebels and Iran that they do not want peace.

Historically in British PM leadership races the favourite does not win.

    1. I think it was a limpet mine, not a missile.

    4. I think you mean Iran not Iraq.

    5. Oh yes. Well spotted. It's mistakes like that which start wars.

  2. Well the US Navy isn't making a very good job of defending the tankers. Strange that they managed to film a few men in a boat and not apprehend them.

  3. You'd think people would learn; but they don't!

    1. I think they do learn, but they want war. We don't want war - we can't afford it for a start - but we will be forced to support 'our biggest ally' whatever happens.

  4. People never have learned and sadly they are not going to start now.

    1. See my comment to Cro above, Weave. We learn but our experience is of no interest to politicians.
