Too cheerful

There is an exhibition featuring the work of Kaffe Fasset running at our art gallery right now. The above is an example of the type of thing he does.

I am sure he is a very nice man and all that, but I cannot stand looking at his stuff, even without a hangover. It is a visual overload verging on blinding.

I hope that he does not describe himself as a 'colourist'. Colourists are far from haphazard, and would never inflict this sort of pain on others in the name of art.

On a brighter note (if that were possible) the Kath Kidston outlet in Bath has closed down for good.

    2. When asked if she was surrounded by her own stuff at home she said "not likely, can't bear fussy stuff and all this nostalgia for days gone by" or words to that effect. It didn't go down well with her followers.

    3. You need not give me your real name, just any name and then you will be welcome.

    4. The reason I deleted my comments was not wanting to encourage anyone else using the anonymous option to comment, thinking you must have a good reason to block those. I am Mary, I sometimes comment on John's Going Gently blog. I had not signed off that way in my first comment as I was rushing because my screen looked uncomfortably bright at that time. Looking at that art this morning is now more physically comfortable, and I still just don't like it. Though the colors and pattern might be cute for a two year old girl's sundress.-Mary
