I haven't had an impotent rant for quite a while, so just enough time to squeeze one in before I cut my way through the persistent snow-drifts.
I am beginning to shout at the radio every time someone says, "In any way, shape or form," when all they need say is, "Certainly not."
Now all I need is someone to say, "I am with you 110%."
Right in one!

DeleteNanook of the North .... we have blue skies, sunshine and not a snowflake in sight ... it’s all gone but, I’m with you 110% !!! XXXX

DeleteBusiness speak drives me mad: 'let's thought cascade.' It's the art of over-complication. And on that theme the wrong use of the word 'myself.' People do it all the time now. They say myself when they mean me or I.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt.
DeleteI'm outclassed.
ReplyDeleteHave a go?
DeleteLet's touch base and think outside the box.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.
DeleteAs long as we don't 'throw anyone under the bus' .....

When all said and done
DeleteYou should blue sky it.
Delete'From the gecko' is what my husband's former co-worker, whose English was a little shaky, used to say when she meant 'from the get go'. I like it much better.
ReplyDeleteSo do I. Right from square one.
DeleteHaving been so shocked by your Blue Peter revelation, I thought you'd like to see this.

Oh, what a shame. I liked the idea of her and Joan Armartrading getting up to no good.
DeleteI want to scream every time I hear the word 'hacks'. What happened to 'ideas'.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have that one. Here, 'hacks' are newspaper journalists.
