I know it is only a small thing, but hats-off to the ex-Twitter employee who suspended Donald Trump's account for a few hours.
In the last 8 years, Trump has sent out a staggering 36,000 messages to his 70 million followers via Twitter. Who knows, that rogue employee may have saved a couple of dangerous international incidents from taking place.
I hope he gets a raise!
ReplyDeleteI just read it was his last day so I hope this doesn't turn into a national security issue for him.
ReplyDeleteGuantanamo Bay for him...
DeleteGood for him, pity it couldnt be permanent. Another reason why I dont twitter. Witter yes.....
ReplyDeleteImagine looking forward to getting two or three Tweets from him every day! Unthinkable, unless you are running a media outlet.
Delete"Terrible breach of security!" Snort, snort.
ReplyDeleteThey are just beginning to discover how much the Russians had to do with all those other Tweets during the election.
DeleteThose statistics are incredible. I hate him.
ReplyDeleteHe is a national hero, and maybe an international one also.
ReplyDeleteHe is a national hero in China apparently. The ordinary people like him for his honesty, so I hear.
DeleteA true American patriot!
ReplyDeleteI am very proud to be a supporter of President Trump and love his tweets! He is the most transparent president we have ever had. If the MSM were not so hateful he would not have to go over their heads to be heard.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to tell irony these days.
DeleteAre you Russian, JA?
DeleteA delightful little bit of personal anarcy!
ReplyDeleteTrump has 41 million followers. He is not in the top 10. Obama has 96 million followers. Obama made 15000 tweets but since he stopped being president he has not tweeted. Trump averages 10 tweets a day. I know where he is travelling to by following him on twitter and what talks and country he is visiting on any given day. It is better to follow direct and make up your own mind and see all his tweets than take a media skewed selection in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteWell you have the time on your hands to read all his daily tweets I suppose. It must be hard to put a skew on most of his simple tweets. I cannot see how they can be mis-interpreted, even by a clever journalist. I mean, after all, he prides himself on his forthright and clear expression of his opinions.
DeleteI follow quite a few twitter people and I read them through this morning in less than 2 minutes including 3 Trump ones. He was playing golf in one and flying somewhere in another.
DeleteSeeing them together yourself makes it more like he is having a conversation, usually nothing much to them, like a chat you might have with a mate. It would be better if he just stopped and talked to a real live mate I suppose. Taken in isolation they take on an importance they shouldn't have. They come in bursts like a conversation and then stop.
DeleteI think that the president ought to understand that spontaneous, casual tweets will be given as much weight as a scripted address to the nation. He really ought to think twice before blurting out, even just for his own sake.
