Hurrah!

So, Prince Harry is to marry an American divorcee actor of mixed race - something which would only have been possible by leaving Britain for ever to live in exile in France not that long ago.

This is wonderful news - Britain gets an injection of fresh genes into the pool of Windsor (Charles was a blood relative of Diana), Theresa May kills two birds with one stone (we all get a diversion from Brexit plus alliances between the USA and the U.K. are strengthened with the new ambassador by marriage) and, last but not least, Harry gets to marry someone who doesn't look like a horse.

Everyone is happy.

  3. Catherine is a beautiful woman; doesn't look like a horse. And Harry comes out smelling like a rose, too. Though he doesn't look like the potential sire of a horse at all. Hooray for all of those young ones.

    1. I wonder if having the Royal Navy changing the guard will take the edge off it. It certainly would for the Dutch royal family.

  6. I'm delighted. Meghan is so unlike what I thought was Harry's "type": Blonde, and more blonde. She's a lovely girl, and I'm sure they will have beautiful babies. Now I want to live long enough to see one of them Windsor princesses turn into a real beauty.

    1. I think this wedding is going to do as much for the USA as it will for the UK.

  7. She'll be the only American who is able to live in the UK without a visa. Hurrah for her.

    1. I think she will have to swear allegiance to the Queen and denounce Trump in order to go ahead.

  11. She came across like a pro in the interview. As an actor she'll probably master how to sit, stand, walk and smile quite easily, and she certainly won't have any trouble speaking in public. I hope he can keep up with her.

    1. They have to write her out of the series now. I wonder if they will kill her or just have her marry an English prince.
