p.s. Why do the 2 women look as if they've just come from a funeral. My people had to meet a pope back in the late 60's, and they didn't dress as if they'd been burying someone.
Just remember - lower-class Americans wear Black Tie to weddings, but eat their dinners off their laps in front of the TV whilst wearing string vests. Enough said.
That pictures has definitely got us humming the tv show's theme song and snapping our fingers. For a photo-op focused bunch that is some curious shot.
I'm having a blog catch up, and wanted to mention that at some recent point in the past week I did listen to No Name on BBC4. Good old-fashioned fun with some girl power. Thanks, Tom, for your originally mentioning it. xo
Grizzly Adams is the one with the tie!

DeleteOh, and they also wear cummerbunds with the Black Tie and call it 'Tuxedo'. Sometimes the cummerbunds are not even black. Unforgivable.
DeleteDonald had just been telling the Pope how much he admired the Wall
ReplyDeleteEven though he is on the wrong side of it.
DeleteThat is seriously funny...

I really enjoyed it. I stayed awake all night to listen to it.
DeleteAnd a delightfully relaxed and comfortable group they look too!
ReplyDeleteI bet the conversation was scintillating.
DeleteHahaha - ONE is laughing at the funeral!
ReplyDeleteI thought the Pope came under the Bad Guy heading.
