Unconditional love

Of all the modern love songs, this is my current favourite. It's not just the same old sexual theme, but it was what I used to aspire to in the most promiscuous stage of my life, after I had realised how much damage I had done to to vulnerable people who I wanted to believe had the same hedonistic outlook on life as I had to try out.

  1. I love this. I can only think of Dr David Nott in Aleppo, or Sarajevo, when I listen to it now, but I still love it. Your paragraph, and second sentence in particular, is almost as long as one of mine in one go.

  2. This touches everyone I think....and you're a good guy Mr S......You're the posh boy this council house grammar school girl would have fancied back in the day.

  3. A lot of regret to bear. I wonder about the guiding light.

  4. Amazing track, and one that obviously holds a lot of meaning for you. Coldplay get way too much crap IMO. This song is bloody perfect, and not enough people (in America) acknowledge that.

I have/had a crush on a girl who's struggled with a multitude of personal issues and playing this song on my iPod while thinking of her always brought me peace. Hope it did for you as well.
