    Tom, I've not seen this great bit of film on your site before and think it fits the current situation so well.

    My current post has a link to your site. Photo of Upper East Side door knocker.

    It was a light touch to some other bits of my post about darker stuff. Closer to home.

    So I thank you both for the film clip and that Spanish door knocker.

    I do absolutely give you that break and thank you also for all that I find here. Not just the candlesticks.

      Perhaps you've seen the East End book? It's published by Spitalfields Books, which was started by the gent who writes the spitalfieldslife.com blog. His posts got me quite interested in the historic and contemporary East End.
