When in Rome, write like Rachel

Last night in Rome. I was bitten by a dog a couple of days ago. It was sitting on a woman's lap, so I stroked it - the dog not the lap. I managed to get most of my hand out of its mouth, but the thumb was the last digit to exit, so took the full wrath of the tiny mutt. Everyone laughed except the dog.

Later on, I walked up the steps of a restaurant and smashed my head against the very low metal shutter with such a noise that everyone looked round, expecting to see me on the pavement, covered in blood. It sounded worse than it was, and nobody believed me when I said it didn't hurt.

Just got back from the Pantheon - it's quite large, you know. All this stuff makes the Bath baths look very puny indeed.

The position of this keyboard, the design of the keyboard, the heat and stress and the low chair has turned my blogging style into Rachel's, so I had better stop - too much like hard work.

    1. I just realised that last night in Rome meant literally that. Have a good journey back. Time to get up, you don't want to miss the plane.

  3. Has rabies crossed your mind or did it look to be a very genteel dog?
Hope there is no delayed concussion before you fly home.

    1. It was a miniature dog, so I am expecting small rabies - a slightly stiff jaw, for instance. Nothing as yet, aside from me scratching at he door to be let out in the mornings.

  8. Thomas texted me that VW has just had to give the USA $15 billion for falsifying emissions on 10 million cars. He said that would have sorted Greece and the refugees out for 10 years. He has just given his bike away to a refugee.
