Holiday on the horizon

I think I might take the opportunity of the up-coming holiday in Rome to disappear from here as well. I will re-invent myself and re-incarnate somewhere else in the blogosphere, then begin again, I think.

Hmm. Seems like a good idea right now. We are all boring the shit out of each other, it seems. That gives me about a month. I think that Tom Stephenson is about to die a natural.

I'm warming to this idea. Here's the first clue as to where you will find me very shortly:

I will be at a crossroad on the A433, quite close to Kemble Airfield.

This is going to be fun. I always liked 'Treasure Hunt' with Anika Rice, but nobody has ever called me their little treasure.

  2. The title of your blog reminds me of a submariner friend of mine who received a dressing down, when after looking through the periscope reported seeing
'A man riding a bicycle on the horizon'

    Well enjoy your holiday.

    1. It's a game. You will like it. I have now got an image of Anika Rice's arse as she runs away from the helicopter...

    3. Who's desperate? Haven't you got any dog-shit to clear up?

Please don't disappear 'Tom'. I have loved your blog since the adventurous tales of your installing marble fireplaces in the USA mansions of the rich and famous.

Enjoy Rome as we have in the past with such happy memories. On one visit when our kids were small, Mr EM lost his wallet full of our spending money in the Forum. But on enquiring at the entrance ticket office he found that it had been handed in untouched by a fellow tourist.

Go see the baths of Caracella and the circus Maximus and put your hand in the Mouth of Truth and maybe some wonderful restaurants away from the tourist trail. Have fun.

    2. Yes - I am really looking forward to Rome - we've been once before. I am not going from here, I'm just going to play hide and seek.

    1. It is 'Where's Wally' here. I know the man who created him here in Bath, way back about 30 something years ago. He was rich then!

  7. Enjoy your holiday.

I've found I've not much to say myself, which accounts for my very sporadic blog postings. When you find you're boring yourself, best to keep quiet for a bit.

  9. You are my little treasure. You never bore me. Don't you dare to disappear from where you are without sending me chapter and verse of where you have moved to and how to find you in easy steps - words of one syllable-moves.

    1. Don't worry Weave - I won't abandon you. Anyway, I'm not going to stop following anyone (I've tried that too, and it doesn't work...)
