I remember one of my boys coming home from school and telling me that the reason why black people have such white teeth is because they all chew sugar cane. I can't think where his teacher got this idea from, but to this day I've never seen a black person chewing sugar cane... unless of course they do it in the privacy of their home bathroom. Anyway, isn't sugar supposed to be the enemy of teeth?
Those were the days, eh? I tried to find the English one of a doctor offering a patient a cigarette before the consultation.

ReplyDeleteYou've lost me with this train of thought, Cro.
DeleteCigarettes good for health? Sugar good for teeth!
DeleteYears ago if a person suffered any trauma the first thing that was offered was a cigarette followed by a cup of strong sweet tea.
ReplyDeleteIt works for me, as it always has done. Alcohol helps as well.
DeleteSmoking camels? Thought they just carried loads in the desert.
ReplyDeleteIt's fat, not water in those humps, and I will refrain from a racist joke involving camels being 'ships of the desert'.
