I remember this on BBC Animal Crackers …. Alan Partridge did the same but he was calling Dan, Dan, Dan to someone in a car park. It's just as funny with the chipmunk { or is it a gopher ?!! } XXXX
I've seen this a few times. I always thought it was an Aussie prairie dog shouting "'Allo! 'Allo! 'Allo!" Or, would that be a British prairie dog with an East London accent?
Bit before my time I'm afraid. I'm a '64 baby. I had very snobby grandparents who wouldn't let me watch ITV (we lived with them), so I couldn't turn over and watch the alternative when Johnny was on. Oh for a bit of Magpie.....
Oh very funny !!!
ReplyDeleteI first watched it last night, in the company of a man called Allen. Even funnier.
DeleteHahaha!!!
ReplyDeleteTears still stream down my face.
DeleteLove it..... isn't it part of a much longer film?
ReplyDeleteYes it is - a BBC wildlife one.
DeleteLove it! It always makes me laugh. Stephen Fry embarrassed Alan Davies with it on QI one time, I recall.
ReplyDeleteDid he? I never saw it till last night.
DeleteI assume Alan never came to his'her rescue.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Steve did?
Deletewho was he calling?
ReplyDeleteSteve, as it turns out.

ReplyDeletePrairie Dog.
DeleteIt doesn't seem funny to me.
ReplyDeleteEvery day I feel as though I understand you a little more... or is that less?
DeleteI don't know. You tell me.
DeleteDon't bother to answer that.

ReplyDeleteIt's a U.S. Prairie Dog with a Liverpool accent.
DeleteGreat to see that again. I can't remember what it was from though. I hated Animal Magic; it should have been like this.
ReplyDeleteWhat job sir???
What about 'The Hot Chestnut Man'?
