Two films for The Rat
This is Rat and H.I. watching 'The Life and Times of Colonel Blimp' (Powell and Pressburger) which was drawn the morning after, about 20 years ago. This is the scene where he gets captured by the opposing War Games officer in the Turkish Baths. I just found it in a drawer, and it makes me think that maybe I could draw after all.
This one was drawn after we had been to see Tarantino's 'Pulp Fiction', and I was worried about the effect it would have on Rat's state of mind. If you told someone that the whole audience burst out laughing when someone accidentally got his head blown apart with a pistol in the back of a car, then that person would justifiably suspect that the audience was entirely made up of psychopaths.

Do you have any ratification for your final para'? Sounds irrational to me.

DeleteI met a missionary the other day who told me that he ate a roasted rat when in Africa for his christmas dinner, he said it tasted like chicken.
ReplyDeleteCats were called 'roof-rabbits' in WW2 London.
DeleteThat's what they say about frog legs. I do think you could have had a career in illustration.
ReplyDeleteMy internet is being hacked by North Korea I think. This is the 3rd time it has gone down without saving my last comment.
DeleteI said (3 fucking times) that your comment used to be an insult when I was at Art School, Donna, but I never took it as such.
(That was the 6th attempt.)
DeleteYour drawings are very good.
ReplyDeleteThank you Moll. My internet keeps going down, so this is the 3rd attempt to say this.
DeleteI've lost another follower, but - prediction - she'll be back, mark my words.
